Following on from the superb 50th anniversary event at Chirnside and Duns on the 6/7/8 April, plans are in place at Loretto School in Musselburgh to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of their former pupil Jim Clark with a chapel service on April 22nd. See also the 1962 and 1967 pages.

The 10th Flying Scotsman Rally is back running from 26th to 29th April. Flagged away from the Brooklands Museum shortly after midday on Thursday 26th and ending on day four by motoring through the wilds of Northumberland and on to our Scottish Borders then arriving at the Balmoral Hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. An up to date list of participants is online and there is a list of spectator points.
The BVAC Classic - Festival of Motoring at Thirlestane Castle Sunday 3rd June 2018 - 11am
The 2018 British Grand Prix weekend on July 6/7/8 will feature two support races for a full grid of historic Formula 1 cars from 1966-85.
The 44th Scottish Transport Extravaganza will be held in the grounds of Glamis Castle over the weekend of the 7th & 8th July 2018.
This year is the 10th anniversary of Club Lotus North East Scotland who are endeavoring to have a bumper collection of Lotus cars.
The 2018 SilverstoneClassic on July 20/21/22 is honouring legendary F1 world champions Jim Clark OBE, John Surtees CBE, Denny Hulme OBE and Jochen Rindt – all of whom cut their competitive teeth racing Formula Junior cars back in the late fifties and early sixties.

The Historic Sports Car Club has confirmed a first class schedule for the Super Touring Car Challenge in 2018, covering 12 races at six high-profile race meetings including Knockhill on 15/16 September.
In December it will be 50 years since Andrew Cowan took victory with his Hillman Hunter in the first London-Sydney Marathon.
